Tartalo Grants

HEVENDAY, the non-profit cultural association responsible for organising the Tartalo Festival, opens two calls that will support quality research in the field of The Myth in the Arts in Spain: the HEVENDAY Research Grants. One call funds one pre-doctoral project, and another one supports a postdoctoral/senior research project.

Tartalo Loyalty Awards

Tartalo has the honour to announce the opening of the TARTALO Loyalty Awards, aimed at recognising and supporting doctoral students who demonstrate continued engagement with the conference Tartalo. Myth in the Arts. These awards are intended to cover the conference registration fee for the upcoming edition. Two awards will be granted per calendar year.

The application period will remain open until 15 June.

Honorary Tartalo

The Honorary Tartalo constitutes the highest distinction awarded by the Hevenday, the non-profit association responsible for organizing Tartalo. Week of the Fantastic in the Arts festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz and is conferred upon individuals whose professional trajectories evidence sustained excellence and significant impact in the development and promotion of the fantastic within artistic and cultural production.

His professional career has received national and international recognition and he is considered one of the most important representatives of Basque literature.

Igor Yebra

Igor Yebra

Born in Bilbao. Professional debut in Ballet de Víctor Ullate (1988-1996), on April 28, 1988, covering a wide classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoire, including custom-made creations. His international career pivoted mainly on three axes: Ballet of the Bordeaux Opera, where he held the category of 'Danseur étoile'; Ballet of the Opera of Rome; and the Russian school where he became the first non-Russian dancer to dance the leading role in Ivan the Terrible. Choreographer and stage director for ballets and operas. Artistic director of the National Ballet Sodre Uruguay, 2018-2020. He has been teaching since he was 20 years old. In 2006 Founded the "Escuela de danza y coreografía Igor Yebra" in Bilbao. In 2008 he founded "Escuela de danza municipal de Amurrio". In 2018 he was the director and teacher at "Escuela Fama a bailar". Debut as a theater actor in Esto no es la casa de Bernarda Alba, directed by Carlota Ferrer. Works again in El beso de la mujer araña, co-starring with Eusebio Poncela.
